Best LED Headlight Bulbs - Light Color
More and more people are installing LED headlight conversion kits into their vehicles to replace factory halogen bulbs due to being super bright and energy efficient. However, there are many types of LED headlight bulbs on the market, with different prices, quality, structures, appearances, and functions. To learn about LED headlights and find the right product for your vehicle, it's helpful to read the following about the best LED conversion kits. This blog is about the light color of the LED headlight kit.
LED headlight color temperature
Color temperature is a unit to measure the color of light. Usually in the car lighting industry, the main range is 3000K (yellow) ~ 6500K (pure white).
- Compared with white light, yellow light (3000K) is more penetrating under severe weather conditions such as rain, fog, and snow. So for drivers, amber lights give them more visibility in bad weather.
- White light (6000~6500K) makes our eyes feel brighter and clearer, thus providing extra visibility in normal weather. On the market, most LED headlight conversion kits are white light.
- Warm white light (4300K) has the advantages of both yellow light and white light. Under normal conditions, it appears brighter than yellow light; in bad weather, it has better penetration than pure white light. However, on the other hand, warm white has poorer visual brightness than pure white light in good weather, and has worse penetration than yellow in bad weather. Right now, there aren't many 4300K LED headlight kits on the market.
- There are also some LED headlights with color adjustable function by replacing the colored glass tube. But changing the light color of these bulbs is very difficult, you have to remove the bulb, replace the glass tube, and then reinstall the bulb.
- TRENT has an APP to control the color-adjustable LED headlight bulbs, which can easily change the light color.
